Inkworks
has chosen to reduce the number of different Pieceworks cards
inserted into the upcoming release of The
X-Files: Season Nine premium trading cards. Production of
the previously announced Pieceworks card containing a piece of
Agent Skinner's suit jacket has been cancelled.
Upon review of the
episode in which the costume was worn (season 9, episode 18),
we determined that the suit jacket did not actually appear
on-camera during the show as it aired and, therefore, it does
not meet the Inkworks standard for declaring it an authentic,
show-worn costume worthy of a place on a Pieceworks card.
Although Inkworks regrets that the number of different
Pieceworks cards has been reduced from the originally
announced number, we hope that collectors will understand the
reason behind our decision.
Despite the change in the
number of costumes, we have been able to maintain the
approximate odds of finding a Pieceworks card in The X-Files:
Season Nine premium trading cards at one per box (Appx. 1:24
packs). The size of each costume swatch has also not been
changed.
The revised list of Pieceworks cards includes these
five, show-worn costumes:
- Burt Reynolds/Mr. Burt
- shirt - Episode 9x14
- Mitch Pileggi/Agent
Skinner - shirt - Episode 9x18
- Mitch Pileggi/Agent
Skinner - suit slacks - Episode 9x18
- Mitch Pileggi/Agent
Skinner - tie - Episode 9x18
- Robert Patrick/Agent
Doggett - shirt - Episode 9x07
